By Car:

Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre is located in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, 8 miles North West of Oxford in the historic town of Woodstock on the A44. Blenheim Palace is signposted from junction nine of the M40. For satnav directions, please use OX20 1UL. When visiting by car, please be aware that a 20mph speed limit applies across the Estate.

Parking

Parking for Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre is free and there is an on-site car park at Blenheim Palace situated within a few minutes stroll from the Theatre. There is disabled parking for blue badge holders at Flagstaff car park in front of the Palace.

Coach

Regular services run from London Victoria Coach station to Gloucester Green in Oxford. Visit oxfordtube.com for prices and times. Multi stop - Oxford/Blenheim Palace/Bicester Village. To find multi stop/direct trips to Blenheim Palace and Bicester Village from Oxford, visit ventureoxford.com.

By Train:

Nearby train stations include Oxford, Oxford Parkway and Long Hanborough. Call Blenheim Palace on 08457 484950 for up to date train information or visit gwr.com or chilternrailways.co.uk.

Bus

The S3 bus from Oxford to Woodstock runs every 30 minutes from Oxford train station and Oxford's Gloucester Green bus station to the gates of Blenheim Palace. Please ask the bus driver to identify the appropriate stop./p>

The 7 bus from Oxford to Woodstock runs from Oxford train station and George street via Oxford Parkway to the gates of Blenheim Palace.

Oxford Bus Company's 500 service leaves from Oxford Parkway and stops at Blenheim Palace and Woodstock. Ask the driver for more details or check the leaflets on board.

SPECIAL 500 RETURN BUS

If you are travelling to Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre by train or from the local Oxford area, we have partnered with Oxford Bus Company to run a Special 500 Bus service which will pick up from Oxford Railway Station and stop at Summertown, Oxford Parkway Station and Kidlington en route to Blenheim Palace. These will run from the 8th July through until 7th September.

The bus will return via the same route and will also stop at Pear Tree on the return. Buses will depart approximately every 30 mins from Oxford Station between 9am and 8pm. After the last performance, buses will leave when they are full. The last bus will depart 30 mins after the last performance finishes. All buses are wheelchair accessible.
