SPECIAL 500 RETURN BUS
If you are travelling to Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre by train or from the local Oxford area, we have partnered with Oxford Bus Company to run a Special 500 Bus service which will pick up from Oxford Railway Station and stop at Summertown, Oxford Parkway Station and Kidlington en route to Blenheim Palace. These will run from the 8th July through until 7th September.
The bus will return via the same route and will also stop at Pear Tree on the return. Buses will depart approximately every 30 mins from Oxford Station between 9am and 8pm. After the last performance, buses will leave when they are full. The last bus will depart 30 mins after the last performance finishes. All buses are wheelchair accessible.
Last bus departs Blenheim Palace at 22:46 from the crossroads by the bridge.

Parking for Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre is free and there is an on-site car park at Blenheim Palace situated within a few minutes stroll from the Theatre. There is disabled parking for blue badge holders at Flagstaff car park in front of the Palace.
Shakespeare’s Rose Theatre is located in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, 8 miles North West of Oxford in the historic town of Woodstock on the A44. Blenheim Palace is signposted from junction nine of the M40. For satnav directions, please use OX20 1UL. When visiting by car, please be aware that a 20mph speed limit applies across the Estate.

Getting to and from Blenheim Palace by Stagecoach couldn’t be easier with services S3 and 7 operating to and from the bus stop directly outside of the palace gates. The S3 runs up to every 30 minutes from Oxford Rail station, to Oxford George Street and then onto Blenheim Palace.
Stagecoach’s 7 service runs up to every 30 minutes from the city centre to Blenheim Palace call at Oxford Parkway Station. Both services provide late night departures from Blenheim Palace meaning you can enjoy the evening performance, with plenty of time to make the last bus back to the city.
Bus tickets can be purchased from the driver with cash or contactless. PLUS receive 30% off your Palace, Park and Gardens admission when you show your bus ticket at the gates.
